When this shoe was brought into the showroom, I knew this was one that I wanted to pair. Casadei makes a beautiful shoe that can be seen on the feet of celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Alicia Keys, Ciara, Nicole Richie and countless others so I was excited to find the perfect wine for this pairing.
The first thing that I strikes me about this previously loved Casadei Floral Buckle Pump, $115 is the nude color which makes it easy to pair. The floral pattern throughout adds an air of femininity with a round toe providing comfortability. The finishing touch of the buckle on the front gives a subtle statement whether you wear a suit or jeans making your look unsuspectingly memorable. This shoe is stylish without being overpowering same as the red wine I chose.
Cruze Alta is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, full bodied Argentina wine. I tasted the 2018 and was pleased by the deep red bouquet with very rich aromas when I opened the bottle. The taste of dark berries and coffee reminds me of the color of the pumps with its dark floral pattern and just like the Casadei pumps, an unsuspectingly lasting taste with a very smooth finish. The bold flavor is good with Beef or Duck, but the smooth taste makes it good to drink solo making for a great pairing.
